Day 6
Devotion Bible reference: Exodus 19:16-20; 20:1-21
The devotion was good, but I didn’t write up anything for it. The main takeaway for me was a clearer understanding of how we are willing to take the 10 commandments from the Old Testament, yet we will still look at and treat the Old Testament as less relevant for daily living today – and this shouldn’t be.
As the LORD leads, pray with specific intent for members of your family each day
Prayer for my wife: for patience in dealing with the kids, and health for her during the pregnancy
Prayer for my son: Thank God for my son’s ability to see needs and recognize that he is able and can address those needs – and how that reflects God’s glory. And for how his medication is affecting his body. Made a specific petition to God for healing of my son’s nose and throat, and relief from his allergy symptoms, for comfort, peace, and rest, claiming in faith that it be God’s will for my son to experience these, and prayed believing in God’s intervention for him in a physical way. (my son and I have experienced a great blessing in the two times we have recently shared individually in prayer – In just these two opportunities to pray for him, we are experiencing a significant deepening of our relationship)
