Day 19 A Place of God’s Continual Presence

Branch Staton

Response Commentary to corresponding entry from the Devotional "Man of Purpose and Power" by Dr. Myles Munroe.

It got a lot harder for Adam and Eve once they left the place of God's constant presence. So too does it for us. But we don't start in Eden as Adam did. We first must acknowledge that God's presence is where we must DWELL, then we need to make sure that's where we ARE, then we need to make sure that's where we STAY. The realization that God will put us where He can use us is also key to understanding our purpose. We can be in the wrong place because we choose to ignore God (i.e., Jonah). But if we endeavor to please God, He will place us where He intends us to be. If you're seeking to serve God, then you can be assured that you are where God wants you to be. Can you be doing the wrong thing in the right place? Yes- ask Adam. And if so, God will move you. God may move you if you're doing the right thing too. God intends for His message and purpose to spread. Where is the right place? In God's presence. That was God's purpose for us by placing Adam in Eden. God still desires that we remain in His presence. But just as He did with Adam, He will allow us to leave it.
